Camelibra NG-1 alpaca/llama feed

Camelibra NG-1 is a next generation, nutricine based functional feed balancer, designed to maintain a high level of nutrient release and absorption from the natural forage based diets of alpacas, llamas and camels. Alpacas, in particular, have a low dry matter intake and will only eat up to 2% of their bodyweight each day, equating to approximately 1 kg of dry food per day. It is important for gut health and motility that they eat plenty of fibrous material and do not fill up on concentrated hard feed, hence the low feeding rates for Camelibra NG-1. It is also important not to feed starchy ingredients like cereals because this can be detrimental to fibre degrading bacteria, inhibiting their activity by creating unfavourable acidic conditions in the foregut. Natural buffering and yeast cultures help to stabilise the gut environment, however, hard feed can also compact in the foregut, adversely affecting food motility, gas eructation and regurgitation. Prebiotics - specific nourishment for the friendly, fibre digesting bacteria in the foregut of your camelid will maintain good digestion and the release of nutrients for growth, breeding and production. High levels of vitamin D3, available phosphorus, calcium and yeast cultures - Camelibra NG-1 not only supplies high levels of Vitamin D3, calcium and available phosphorus in a very palatable form, it also contains yeast cultures, which have been shown to significantly improve the digestibility of phosphorus from normal feed. Calcium, phosphorus and vitamin D3 are all crucial for healthy skeletal development. Bio-available trace minerals - as alpacas are indigenous to toxic, volcanic areas, it is generally perceived that this could only have been possible due to very low rates of absorption of minerals from the digestive system. To exist, this is fine, but to be a productive fibre bearing animal in good condition requires high levels of absorption and the use of pre-digested trace elements allows this. Trials with the high levels of available zinc have shown very positive results with fibre quality. Selenium yeast has been proven to be twenty times less toxic than inorganic selenium and more available, which is very beneficial to health. Nanotechnology components and simple sugars “oligosaccharides” - not only support the immune system through natural high levels of macrophage activity, but also block harmful organisms being absorbed into the bloodstream. In conjunction with a natural, high quality forage diet the exposure to unnatural moulds and fungi will be reduced and if a problem, the active self-defence mechanism will deal with them.
